Leeway, Kraken sign deal on 100 kph survey vessel

Halifax-based Leeway Marine could have called their new vessel Kokomo. Like the line from the Beach Boys’ song, the newly bought and named Leeway Striker will get there fast and then take it slow.

The Leeway Striker appeared at COVE over the weekend. A new Acquisition By Leeway Marine, the fast patrol boat was built by RIVERHAWK FAST SEA FRAMES of Tampa Florida. Her jet drives can power her to a top speed of 55knots, or 107km/h. She's 72′ (22m) in length.
